Friday, August 1
3:30-4:45pm Freedom Library Fun Friday- Beading Workshop. Free!
4:00-5:00pm First Christian Church Music Camp event- Freedom Town Hall
5:00-6:30pm Freedom Library Movie & Pizza- “Horton Hears a Who”. $3
5:00 pm Lawn Party at the Freedom Gallery. Adults Only. $6. Rain or Shine. Entertainment by the Taylor River Band. Bring an appetizer.
     
Saturday, August 2  
9:30 am  Mango Groove Band- Freedom Village
10:00 am  Parade in Freedom Village. Theme: “Fun in Olde Tyme Freedom”. Bands! Floats! Fun! All Welcome; call Sylvia Carney for information 539-5799), or just show up!
12:00-3:00pm Olde Tyme Family Fun Day! Games, Concert and Food at Ball field, Music, horseshoes, kids games, pie contest, water balloons, and more! Immediately after the parade- come one, come all! Free
6:00-8:00 pm Hot Air Balloon Rides! Scholarship donations $10/$5)
         
Sunday, August 3
8:00-10:00am “Welcome Home Breakfast”, Town Hall, donation; sponsored by First Christian Church.
10:00am “Welcome Home” Church Service & Music Camp Performance, Town Hall.
7:00 pm “International Night” with the Leuthi Peterson Camp, Town Hall.

Monday, August 4           
9:30am Trout Pond/Mary’s Mt. Hike-Freedom Town Forest: meet at end of Shawtown Road (past Danforth Bay campground); call Beth Earle 539-7357 if questions; sponsored by Freedom Conservation commission & Forest Advisory Committee & GMCG (10 Hikes for 10 Years).
2:00 pm Water Sports - Freedom Club Beach, Loon Lake - Camp Calumet
6:00 pm Family Performer: Janine Rogers, magician/ventriloquist.

Tuesday, August 5
10:00am Land Sports at the Freedom ball field - Camp Huckins.
10:30am Freedom PTA Golf Tournament at Indian Mound Golf Club. To register, contact Ingrid DeWitt at 539-4142; $65 incl. BBQ 11:00-12:00; shot-gun start 12:00. It’s an important fundraiser.
6:30pm Ping-Pong Tournament, Town Hall.
7:30-9:00pm “George Washington Slept Here” – Comedy play at Town Hall- fun for all ages (Donations).

Wednesday, August 6   
9:30-11:30am Canoe/kayak Regatta- Broad Bay/Danforth Bay. Meet Lake Ossipee Village Beach Club North Broadbay Rd, off Ossipee Lake Rd; call Dan Spear 539-1687 if questions.
9:30am Historical Walk in Freedom Village with Carol Foord. Meet at the Historical Society (opposite Schoolhouse Hill). Bring water/hats.
10:00am "Books Alive!" with Andrea Wright. Children's program.  Freedom Town Hall. Sponsored by Freedom Public Library.
6:00pm Family Bingo, Town Hall, donation.
7:30-9:30pm “A Stroll Through Time- Historical narration by period performers at selected sites in Freedom. Meet at the church. Tickets: Contact Bonnie Burroughs 539-3665 or Gale Morris 539-5449; $8 Freedom Historical Society (FHS) members; $10 non-members; includes refreshments at Freedom Historical Society museum house, Old Portland Road. FHS Membership only $10!

Thursday, August 7  
9:30 am  Green Mountain Hike; Sponsored by FOHW and GMCG (10 years/10 Hikes). Meet at the ball field.
6:30-8:00pm  Ice Cream Social- Bandstand w/ Music! Band: “High Range”
6:00-9:00pm  Freedom Library Teen program; pizza, walk to ice cream social, followed by a movie. $3.

Friday, August 8  
9:00-3:00 Freedom Library Book Sale- Barn at 8 Elm St.
9:00-3:00 Church Barn Sale- Elm St. Parsonage.
9:30-3:00 32st Annual Art & Craft Fair, Freedom Elementary School.
11:30-2:00 Luncheon, Town Hall- PTA sponsored.
3:30-4:45pm Freedom Library Fun Friday. Wii gaming- elementary age.
5:00-6:30pm Freedom Library all Ages Pizza & Movie- ‘An American Tail” $3

Saturday, August 9
7:00-7:30 am 3rd Annual Freedom OHW 5K Road Race Registration & Sign-In. Contact Cindy Davis 539-9547.
8:00 am Race begins for walkers.
8:30 am Race begins for runners.
9:00 am Free Kids Fun Run around ball field & back to school yard).
9:00 am Tennis Tournament at Camp Robin Hood; register with Cindy Sawyer 539-7914.
10:00-12:00 Freedom Library Book Sale- Barn at 8 Elm St.
5:00 pm Fireman's Lobster Supper, Town Hall. Contact the Freedom Fire Department for tickets at 539-4261.
8:00pm  “Big Birds,” a presentation on New Hampshire’s endangered eagles, ospreys and peregrine falcons – some found in our area – by Eric Masterson, N.H. Audubon. Tales of Ossipee Lake from Ossipee Lake Alliance. At the big tent, Camp Calumet; free.

Sunday, August 10           
10:00 am “Old Home Week Closing Service”, First Christian Church, Followed by lemonade on the lawn.
12:00 pm OHWC Volunteer Party
9:00 am Rain Date for Tennis Tournament
